About the position

The Financial Analyst I-III, Sr or Lead position at Medical Mutual involves providing comprehensive financial analysis and support across various corporate departments. The role encompasses generating management reports, creating budgets, forecasting financial performance, and guiding strategic decision-making. Analysts at different levels will work under varying degrees of supervision, with responsibilities increasing in complexity and scope from basic analysis to leading financial initiatives and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Supports corporate departments with generating forecasts in various business areas.
  • Compiles budgets for corporate departments, considering actual performance and estimated expenses.
  • Assists in the creation of financial models for business planning decisions.
  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, maintaining accurate spending records.
  • Prepares basic reports and assists in making recommendations to management.
  • Builds and maintains business models for effective planning and decision making.
  • Aggregates financial data from multiple platforms and suggests procedural changes for efficiency.
  • Drives actionable information and evaluates financial outcomes of decision alternatives.
  • Leads and guides others in developing budgets and financial analyses.
  • Translates content for senior level presentations and assists in preparation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a quantitative discipline.
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience for Financial Analyst II.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience for Financial Analyst III.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience for Sr. Financial Analyst.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience for Lead Financial Analyst.
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) preferred for Financial Analyst III, Sr, and Lead.
