About the position
The Financial Analyst I - IT Services plays a crucial role in the development, tracking, reporting, and analysis of the IT budget at GM Financial. This position serves as a liaison between the IT department and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), requiring collaboration with various departments to support financial inquiries and reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of the annual IT budget and budget management.
- Assist with analytical work, including identification, compilation, documentation, analysis, and reporting of IT expenditures.
- Support IT personnel and FP&A with finance-related inquiries, including requisitions, purchase orders, SOWs, funding documents, and reforecasts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business units to complete tasks with time-sensitive deadlines.
- Assist in the development of ad hoc analysis and presentations for upper-level management.
- Create, maintain, and analyze budget-related spreadsheets.
- Develop and maintain periodic reports.
- Understand data and information resources thoroughly.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups.
- Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions.
- Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.
- Basic understanding of Oracle Financial Management Solutions.
- Basic understanding of Apptio.
- Basic knowledge of finance/accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
