About the position

Crown Castle is seeking a Financial Analyst I for its Sales Operations team. This role is pivotal in analyzing the company's strategic positioning and financial performance, particularly focusing on sales activities, capital investments, and pricing strategies. The analyst will leverage analytics to develop insights that identify opportunities for profitable investments and maximize value creation. The position requires collaboration with various teams to implement and track sales enablement platforms, aiming to reduce friction in the sales cycle and promote value-generating sales. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and maintaining pricing analytics, recommending pricing actions that optimize revenue and value capture. This includes creating and maintaining financial models to evaluate proposed capital investments and strategic initiatives, as well as analyzing demand for Crown's services and assets in the competitive marketplace. The role involves synthesizing financial and non-financial data into relevant strategy insights and preparing quantitative reports for presentation to management, functional teams, and stakeholders, including the board of directors and shareholders. In addition to technical skills, the role emphasizes the importance of building strong, collaborative relationships with other stakeholders to drive the accomplishment of overall company goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong data storytelling skills, high business acumen, and the ability to turn data analysis into actionable insights, all while maintaining a high level of integrity and accountability in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing analytics and recommend pricing actions that optimize both revenue and value capture.
  • Implement, track, and analyze sales enablement platforms to reduce friction in the sales cycle and promote value-generating sales.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate proposed capital investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze demand for Crown's services and assets, and assess Crown's competitive positioning in the marketplace.
  • Synthesize financial and non-financial data into relevant strategy insights.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools and analysis to enable real-time analytics and performance management.
  • Prepare quantitative reports for presentation to management, functional teams, the board of directors, shareholders, or others as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with other company stakeholders to drive accomplishment of overall company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance, Business, Statistics, MIS, CS or other quantitative discipline.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in a financial analysis or related position.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong data storytelling skills; high business acumen and ability to turn data analysis into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) preferred.
  • Experience with Alteryx and Power BI preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships.
