About the position

The Financial Analyst I position at Komatsu involves analyzing and interpreting financial results to support financial management and reporting for the organization. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and the MTS Corporate Finance team, focusing on project budgets and financial performance. The analyst will be responsible for creating financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and assisting in budget management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Create financial reports for key MTS stakeholders, including monthly closing and financial KPIs.
• Assist divisional management in monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing financial data and developing financial reports.
• Support preparation of consolidated quarterly financial outlooks, annual budget, and mid-term strategic plans.
• Involved in budget definition, approval, tracking, and execution.
• Monitor and support execution of Capital Expenditure purchases (CAPEX).
• Promote best practices and proper usage of business tools for budgeting and forecasting.
• Review and update Human Resources-related workflows from a financial perspective.
• Support intercompany charges and sales tax exemption reports.
• Provide financial input on new contract negotiations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting related experience.
• Standard concepts, practices, and procedures of corporate finance.
• Corporate budget governance experience.
• Familiarity with tools such as SAP, Oracle, or other comparable ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
