About the position

The Financial Analyst II will support the US SG&A functions for the Electrophysiology (EP) Division at Boston Scientific. This role focuses on financial planning, reporting, and analysis, requiring strong analytical and communication skills. The analyst will facilitate month-end close activities and support Value Improvement Program (VIP) initiatives, while building relationships with business partners to optimize financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed financial forecasts, including strategic plan, annual operating plan, and quarterly forecasts.
• Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances.
• Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end close activities to ensure proper accounting.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
• Perform financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action using appropriate financial tools.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and analytics.
• Document and maintain work instructions.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and internal processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong financial analysis, communication, organization, and prioritization skills
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
• Experience with financial modeling, Microsoft Access, SAP, Hyperion
• Quick learner with the ability to engage with internal and external customers
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced organization
