Financial Analyst II, Eller Administration

About the position

The Financial Analyst II position is part of the team of Finance & Planning Analysts in Eller Administration. This team works collaboratively to support the college budgeting process, financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. This position will work closely with the Dean's office and Eller departments to ensure proper financial planning, adherence to budgets, and accurate interpretation of financial data. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Responsibilities

• Reconcile payroll expenditures and position distribution with budget detail.
• Other Professional Services (OPS) position reconciliation.
• Monitor budget to actuals reports, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Reconcile faculty teaching load to budget.
• Reconcile data across the Budget Planning system, Anaplan, and the internal budget file.
• UA Foundation reporting for Eller Administration.
• Financial reporting to departments.
• Assist in creating new reports and maintaining reports and dashboards in UAccess Analytics.
• Employment change report.
• Micro campus programs P&L.
• Assist in loading budget via the RBC system.
• Supporting data entry in Anaplan for the All-Funds, original budget, and forecasting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Work experience in higher education.
• Experience with university systems (UAccess Analytics, Financials, Employee, and Student and RBC system).
• UAccess Analytics Certification and/or experience in creating reports and agents and managing dashboard pages.
• Experience with Power Query and VBA.
