About the position

The Financial Analyst II position focuses on managing and monitoring TD's U.S. intraday liquidity and collateral across various operations. This role involves conducting financial analysis, supporting project development, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure effective liquidity risk management. The analyst will utilize their knowledge of liquidity regulations and financial analysis techniques to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured, one-off and routine financial analysis as it applies to area of responsibility.
  • Understand the finance function and the key business supported.
  • Focus on components of results such as Expenses, Analysis, Revenue, and Volumes.
  • Provide financial, analytical, planning, and forecasting expertise to assist in project development.
  • Develop specialized analytical tools for project or ongoing use.
  • Assist more experienced staff in developing complex analyses and review results with them.
  • Assist in developing conclusions and courses of action to rectify discrepancies.
  • Provide planning, forecasting, and financial analysis support.
  • Develop and analyze key metrics and plan variances.
  • Compile and generate standard and ad-hoc analytical reports.
  • Develop financial analytical and forecasting models to test assumptions and predict results.
  • Research and review details of business operating metrics to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to 3-5 years related experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Practical knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in common desktop business applications.
  • Ability to employ complex analytical tools and statistics for analysis and forecasting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Knowledge of accounting and associated rules and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or knowledge of Liquidity Management, especially Intraday Liquidity Management, or Treasury function within a financial services setting.
  • Understanding of key liquidity regulations such as BCBS 248, Reg YY, FR 2052a, LCR and NSFR.
  • Excellent technical, analytics, and communication skills.
