About the position

BAE is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the program finance team. In this role, you will serve as the financial business partner for several key programs, assisting program managers and teams in developing program baselines, monitoring performance, and investigating root causes of program performance variances. You will also help program managers develop corrective action plans to address and mitigate these variances. Your responsibilities will include providing financial decision support to key stakeholders, focusing on minimizing risk and maximizing program profit by managing financial requirements and program execution. You will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on projects of varying contract types, sizes, and complexities. This position requires you to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will interface with the Program Management Organization (PMO) team, project managers, technical staff, subcontractors, and customers to support PMO activities. Additionally, you will oversee project start-up and close-out, manage monthly program revenue, cost management, and profit recognition throughout the program's life cycle. Your role will also involve supporting project execution by performing financial analysis and providing program support related to the technical and business resources needed to achieve program objectives. This includes pre/post-award project activities from inception through closeout. You will develop and review financial data for inclusion in cost proposals, contract reviews, forecasts, and variance explanations, and participate in program and project reviews. Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, DFAR/FAR, CAS, estimating systems, and disclosure statements will also be part of your responsibilities, as you interpret changes to understand their impact on programs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong communication skills to interface with the Program Management Organization (PMO) team and others including project managers, technical staff, subcontractors, and customers in support of PMO activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field with 5 years related work experience.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving and in-depth research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively across multiple finance and non-finance functions.
