About the position

The Financial Analyst II will act as the primary finance contact for designated departments within the organization. This role involves collaborating with the Finance team to assist department leaders in creating fiscal year budgets, analyzing monthly financial variances, and submitting staffing position requests. Additionally, the analyst will coach department leaders on financial systems and tools, while developing action plans to enhance operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key finance point of contact for assigned departments.
• Support department leaders in developing fiscal year budgets.
• Analyze monthly financial variances and provide insights.
• Assist in the submission of position requests for staffing.
• Coach and train department leaders on financial systems and tools.
• Develop action plans to improve operational and financial performance.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a finance department, either in general accounting or financial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred, or a Bachelor's degree in another discipline with 3-5 years of financial analysis experience in healthcare.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft tools.
• Ability to master the use of computer system tools including general accounting software and business analytics tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare financial analysis.
• Familiarity with budget development systems.
