About the position

The Financial Analyst III position within TD Bank's Treasury Liquidity team focuses on managing and monitoring the bank's U.S. intraday liquidity and collateral. This role involves conducting complex financial analyses, developing forecasting models, and providing insights to support decision-making across various business segments. The analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with liquidity regulations and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex analysis related to liquidity and collateral positions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity reports.
  • Develop and analyze key metrics and plan variances.
  • Provide financial, analytical, planning, and forecasting expertise for projects.
  • Develop specialized analytical tools for ongoing use.
  • Lead research efforts and provide insights on business operating metrics.
  • Train and mentor new or less experienced staff.
  • Resolve escalated issues by conferring with staff and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in finance or related field.
  • 5-7 years of related experience in financial analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis and model-building.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions based on business objectives.
  • Practical knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of key liquidity regulations such as BCBS 248, Reg YY, FR 2052a, LCR, and NSFR.
  • Experience in developing financial analytical and forecasting models.
