About the position

The Financial Analyst III position at Kelly Services involves leading financial analysis and reporting for a major energy delivery company. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing payroll costs, while also maintaining financial tools and supporting management with key financial metrics. Responsibilities

  • Lead GTM's analysis of business unit payroll costs including Budgeting, Forecasting and Long-Range Planning.
  • Work closely with GTM management team in developing cost center budgets and cost center workforce plans.
  • Lead GTM allocation and overhead capitalization process including monthly reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain recently developed GTM allocation automation tool and look to improve processes where applicable.
  • Review and analyze key financial metrics, including Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) and Distributable Cash Flow (DCF).
  • Support other ad-hoc inquiries as needed; develop and maintain expertise in understanding the complex principal business drivers within the US Transmission.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of competency in various analytical tools, including Excel, Hyperion Planning, and Essbase systems, and recommend enhancements to the systems.
  • Comprehensively analyze and interpret projected results and ensure trends are substantiated and grounded in principle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with field of study being Finance (Preferred).
  • Finance-related designation of CPA (Preferred).
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel.
  • Prior experience with major ERP systems and assets, with experience in Oracle Cloud preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills complemented by excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven capability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the proven ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle, EPBCS, Smartview.
  • Familiarity with workforce budgeting software (example - Workday).
