About the position

The Financial Analyst III at Dawn Foods plays a crucial role within the Finance Supply Chain team, acting as a key business partner to the North America Supply Chain Functions. This position supports over 20 Distribution Centers and provides financial analytics, guidance, and insights to enhance supply chain execution. The role requires collaboration across various levels of the organization and involves responsibilities such as month-end close processes, budget formulation, and financial performance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support all US Supply Chain functions with financial analytics and thought leadership.
  • Co-lead the month-end close process for all NA Distribution Centers, ensuring accurate financial statements.
  • Provide guidance to Supply Chain Regions and Ops Management in budget and forecast formulation.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leaders to analyze financial metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct analyses on financial performance, cost efficiency, and working capital.
  • Support inventory management and write-offs across all regions and manufacturing plants.
  • Conduct special financial studies as requested by management.
  • Design and improve financial systems and procedures to ensure effective execution.
  • Assist in developing business policies and performance measures.
  • Provide backup support for other Finance positions as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field, or 7 years of financial experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related financial experience as a Finance Business Partner.
  • Experience within supply chain, distribution, or logistics strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial business acumen and understanding of strategic views.
  • Ability to communicate complex situations clearly and effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP); Visual Basic and PowerPoint experience preferred.
  • SAP experience required; Oracle experience desired.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an interactive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and data analysis techniques.
