About the position

The position is responsible for executing complex financial analysis and driving business improvement within Fifth Third Bancorp. The role focuses on providing value-added analysis and recommendations to support business growth, while also maintaining relationships with various stakeholders to understand and meet their information needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand key business factors impacting the business and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
• Develop recommendations and action plans to support growth and mitigate risks.
• Prepare and analyze monthly reports, investigating and documenting unusual items.
• Maintain existing schedules and reports, documenting changes to information.
• Evaluate and improve the design of reports and processes to adapt to business changes.
• Develop trend analyses and quantitative reports to identify business trends.
• Assist management in developing and maintaining performance data systems for organizational and product performance review.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with peers and management within Bancorp Finance and all lines of business.
• Participate in meetings to stay informed on current and emerging issues and risks.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of the annual profit plan and rolling forecast for the line of business.
• Analyze business performance, recommend improvements, and measure progress.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced analysts.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis.
• Ability to develop actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to foster relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• Knowledge of performance data systems and reporting processes.
