It is important to note that housing and relocation assistance are not available for this position, and UnitedHealth Group is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Interns will have the opportunity to work in various areas such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Capital Planning, and Budgeting, depending on their interests and abilities. This role is not intended for graduating seniors, as candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance from an accredited institution. As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on financials, assisting in the development of program forecasts, budgets, and plans, researching economic trends to aid in financial planning, creating annual budget templates, and preparing spreadsheets to effectively present financial results and forecasts. This internship is designed to challenge you while providing clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role and offering development opportunities for future roles you may be interested in.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on financials
  • Assist in the development of program forecasts, budgets, and plans
  • Research economic progressions to assist with the organization's financial planning
  • Create annual budget templates
  • Prepare spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major in finance from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
