About the position

The Financial Analyst, Investments plays a crucial role within the Ventas Investments group, which has a strong track record of closing over $30 billion in investments. This position involves executing the investments pipeline for a leading S&P 500 real estate investment trust, focusing on underwriting, due diligence, and closing for healthcare-related investments. Analysts will engage with senior management and work on various transactions, including acquisitions and debt financings, while gaining foundational experience in real estate and REITs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial modeling and valuation analysis to support investments across healthcare asset classes.
• Lead modeling and analyses for various deal structures including acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt investments.
• Review and assess operator/tenant and guarantor risk during due diligence.
• Conduct site visits to analyze real estate quality and market demographics.
• Determine transaction assumptions and engage with brokers and sellers effectively.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Finance team to ensure accurate financial projections.
• Present underwriting and due diligence findings to the executive leadership team.
• Organize materials for closing calls and create closing statements for acquisitions.
• Partner with the Asset Management team to integrate acquisitions.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Finance, Economics, or a similar analytical field required.
• 1+ years of experience in analytical roles, preferably in commercial real estate, corporate finance, or investment banking.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent quantitative, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
