About the position

The Financial Analyst Jr. position at StraCon Services Group, LLC is designed to support the Finance and Accounting Department by providing essential financial and accounting assistance. The role involves performing various financial analyses, cost accounting, budgeting, and supporting management activities that impact the organization’s operations. The analyst will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial transactions, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources.

Responsibilities

• Provides financial and/or accounting support to the Finance and Accounting Department
• Performs cost accounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, workload, acquisition, document management, system support, and financial analyses
• Supports a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, and data calls
• Applies policies and procedures for financial planning
• Prepares, reviews, and approves monthly invoicing, reporting, reconciliations, contract modifications, and other financial transactions

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with at least 1 year of experience
• Computer efficient with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS
