About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Kellogg HQ in Battle Creek, MI, is a critical role that supports the Integrated Commercial Analytics and Insights and Strategy teams in various cost accounting and finance-related activities. This position is hybrid/remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for generating Purchase Orders for overhead cost centers and brand building IONs owned by the teams. Additionally, the role involves processing supplier invoices through KBuy, managing blocked invoice reports, and resolving payment issues. The analyst will also provide vendor technical support in the use of SAP, Sterling Webforms, KBuy, and direct EDI set-up, ensuring smooth operations and communication with suppliers. In this role, the Financial Analyst will coordinate all new vendor set-ups with Vendor Master, KBuy, and suppliers, ensuring that all necessary documentation and processes are followed. The position requires analytical support for all budget reporting requirements, which includes creating journal entries for accruals and cost reallocations. The analyst will provide analysis, insights, and recommendations aimed at reducing common errors and increasing efficiencies within the financial processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is capable of supporting both supervisors and team members effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Purchase Orders for overhead cost centers and brand building IONs owned by teams.
  • Process supplier invoices (Goods Receipts) in KBuy.
  • Manage blocked invoice report and resolve payment issues.
  • Provide vendor technical support in the use of SAP, Sterling Webforms, KBuy, and direct EDI set-up.
  • Coordinate all new vendor set-ups with Vendor Master, KBuy, and suppliers.
  • Provide analytical support for all budget reporting requirements.
  • Create journal entries for accruals and cost reallocations.
  • Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to reduce common errors and increase efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Analytic skills with a focus on financial tracking and budget management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • 1-2 years of financial and/or budget management experience.
  • College degree required.
