About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Diversity Talent Scouts involves managing financial processes within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on month-end close activities, general ledger reconciliation, and financial analysis to support the company's financial health and compliance with tax regulations. The analyst will also play a key role in forecasting and budgeting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements.
• Prepare and post standard and non-standard journal entries.
• Perform analytical procedures on G/L accounts during month-end review.
• Analyze month-end department expenses.
• Respond to account analysis questions submitted by the Division office.
• Gather information for tax reporting.
• Utilize Avalara Tax Software to prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual Plan and quarterly forecast, focusing on balance sheet forecasting.
• Manage compliance with Federal and State surveys.
• Administer the PCARD program.
• Calculate, track, and coordinate agent commission payments in collaboration with the Sales Department.
• Streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 1-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in Manufacturing / Cost Accounting.
• General Ledger experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Extensive experience with advanced Excel applications.
