About the position

The Financial Analyst in Marketing Finance at Conagra will partner with business and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient marketing spending. This role involves enhancing the marketing spend process and technology, providing financial support to the Marketing COE and Brand Marketing teams, and delivering actionable business analytics and recommendations to management. The analyst will engage in various financial activities including business analytics, annual operating planning, monthly forecasting, and ad-hoc analyses.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams on accounting and finance-related questions.
• Assess business needs and resolve risks and opportunities.
• Provide forecast inputs into the financial planning system and validate data accuracy with management.
• Analyze monthly variances between actual results, current forecast, plan, and prior year.
• Summarize results and communicate with management and cross-functional groups, providing actionable commentary and guidance on potential risks.
• Ensure proper documentation for all marketing spend and support monthly accruals.
• Assist in developing the annual operating plan.
• Develop management reports using Business Intelligence, SAP R/3, and BPC.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional general business and financial experience.
• Experience in P&L management and knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.
• Experience working across multiple departments to complete projects or resolve organizational challenges.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Power BI, SAP, or other software tools preferred.
