About the position

The Financial Analyst in Merchandising Finance at Lowe's plays a crucial role in partnering with business units to provide financial expertise and support. This position focuses on converting complex business plans into actionable forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans while collaborating across functions to optimize business performance through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior and Lead Analysts by maintaining templates, systems, and tools for quarterly forecasts, annual plans, and long-range plans.
• Update operating, program, and business unit scorecards, assisting in commentary and analysis for updates.
• Compile data for root cause analysis, financial modeling, and support Senior and Lead Analysts in conducting analyses.
• Apply expertise in finance to support projects, solve business problems, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Foster self-development and effective relationships by sharing knowledge and seeking feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 1 year of experience in finance or analytical role within a public company/accounting firm.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience providing analytical support.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of experience in finance or analytical role within a public company/accounting firm.
• Experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Accounting.
• Familiarity with tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Superset, MicroStrategy, Qlik, etc.
• Experience with analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, Adobe, Alteryx, Knime.
