About the position

At MGM Resorts International, the Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance department at the property level. This position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic and diverse environment, where the focus is on creating unforgettable experiences for guests. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis, which is essential for effective decision-making and financial management within the organization. The day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with various departments to identify and execute analysis projects that align with the property’s financial goals. This role involves assisting with planning and budgeting processes, working closely with Corporate Finance to ensure that financial strategies are effectively implemented. The Financial Analyst will provide valuable insights into managing the property’s finances, including cash flow management, cost control, and risk assessment. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with the Enterprise Analytics team to leverage data and analytics, helping the Property team track progress and achieve their financial objectives. Creating special reports, analyzing financial data, and providing recommendations to senior Planning and Analysis team members are also key components of this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry, all while contributing to the mission of MGM Resorts to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the Finance department at the property level.
  • Assist with planning and budgeting processes in collaboration with Corporate Finance.
  • Advise on managing the property's finances, including cash flow, costs, and risks.
  • Collaborate on new data and analytics projects with the Enterprise Analytics team.
  • Create special reports, analyze them, and provide recommendations to senior Planning and Analysis team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent finance analyst experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in financial analysis.
