About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a Mid-level Financial Analyst to join our team in Newark, Delaware. This full-time, contract position is expected to last for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that support decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, particularly in the context of construction finance, and will be responsible for forecasting Line of Business construction projects and managing budgets effectively. The primary duties of the Financial Analyst include analyzing financial statements, performance metrics, and trends to assess the financial health of the organization. The analyst will develop financial models and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning processes, conduct variance analysis, and identify key drivers of financial performance. Additionally, the role involves preparing and presenting financial reports and findings to management, providing financial analysis and support for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, and monitoring and evaluating financial risks and opportunities. Collaboration with other departments is essential, as the Financial Analyst will gather and analyze financial information to assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Participation in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial plans is also a key responsibility, along with mentoring and providing guidance to junior financial analysts. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management and a commitment to supporting the organization's financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing financial statements, performance metrics, and trends to assess the financial health of the organization.
  • Developing financial models and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning processes.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in construction finance support.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP.
