About the position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Financial Analyst for a full-time contract position based in Newark, Delaware. This role is designed for a mid-level financial analyst who will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support decision-making within the organization. The position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work, and has a duration of 12 months with the possibility of extension. As a Financial Analyst, you will engage in a variety of tasks that are crucial for the financial health of the organization. Your primary duties will include analyzing financial statements, performance metrics, and trends to assess the financial health of the organization. You will develop financial models and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning processes, conduct variance analysis, and identify key drivers of financial performance. Additionally, you will prepare and present financial reports and findings to management, providing financial analysis and support for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating financial risks and opportunities, collaborating with other departments to gather and analyze financial information, and assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Participation in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial plans will be part of your role, along with mentoring and providing guidance to junior financial analysts. This position requires a candidate who can forecast Line of Business construction projects and request budgets for moving out projects, with a strong emphasis on Excel skills, particularly VLOOKUP, and prior experience in construction finance support being preferred.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in financial analysis or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP functions.
  • Experience in construction finance support is preferred.
