Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain automated financial and reporting tools and systems for timely delivery of quality information to senior management.
  • Identify emerging needs and implement additional reports to present data concisely.
  • Design and implement models and analysis to quantify potential impacts of industry changes and business developments.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to streamline processes or improve computer model systems.
  • Interpret results from various analyses and communicate actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify key strategic considerations and present them to senior management.
  • Represent the finance department as a trusted business partner across the organization.
  • Lead junior team members in completing special assignments and analyses.
  • Assist the Manager in coordinating work assignments and selecting appropriate technical applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of broad experience in corporate finance, budgeting, accounting, or statistics.
  • Proficient knowledge of economics, finance, and accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including statistical and quantitative analysis.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze financial, marketing, and operational data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Access, SAP Products, NYISO DSS, treasury management systems.
  • Visio knowledge is desirable.
  • Utility experience with an understanding of corporate finance and governmental regulations.

  • Contract position with an estimated pay rate of $83.4K - $106K per year.
