About the position

The Financial Analyst NOVA at HCA Healthcare is responsible for assembling financial reports, preparing and implementing budget monitoring, and conducting system analysis. This role involves collaboration with the Controller to complete monthly operational reviews and manage various financial tasks, including contract labor analysis and SOX compliance. The position is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assemble financial reports needed by the various budget and accounting systems.
• Work with the Controller to complete monthly operation reviews with department leaders.
• Prepare and implement reports and monitor periodic budget and system analysis.
• Complete contract labor database and prepare various analysis on a monthly basis.
• Prepare the monthly Board Report.
• Assist accountants in completing tax work papers and Medicare Cost Report.
• Responsible for the Business License application and annual AHA and NAPHS Survey.
• Manage and report Fixed Assets, Depreciation expense, and Accumulated Depreciation Expense.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations assigned by the Controller.
• Attest multiple internal controls semi-annually and prepare monthly journal entries.

Requirements

• 1-2 years previous accounting experience required.
• 5 years' accounting experience with 1-2 years' experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.
• Master of Business Administration in Accounting or Finance and/or Certified Public Accountant preferred.
