About the position

The Financial Analyst position at NSR Noramtec Consultants Americas is a contract role focused on providing financial analysis and support to plant management. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in closing financial books, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires collaboration with various teams to drive process improvements and support business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop the plant finance staff, coaching talent to support talent management initiatives.
• Close the financial books monthly, analyze actual results, and publish plant period reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities, including fixed asset management and inventory valuation.
• Prepare annual budgets and business forecasts, analyzing capital investments with ROI, IRR, and Payback metrics.
• Proactively identify cost problems and drive problem resolution with effective solutions.
• Maintain internal control systems and ensure compliance with regulations and corporate accounting policies.
• Drive process improvements within the finance function and document existing processes.
• Consolidate monthly forecasts and results, providing insights and analytics.
• Support division cash-based costing and ad hoc project support as necessary.
• Complete weekly and monthly consolidated reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical degree required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience, with controller experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, general ledger systems, and forecasting tools.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, cost modeling, inventory control, and manufacturing variance analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA/CPA preferred.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix, and Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes) preferred.
