About the position

Orora Packaging Solutions is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to administer and support the Vistex Program in conjunction with SAP to accurately account for, track, and reconcile all Customer specific price supports from Suppliers (chargebacks). This role will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information for the business as well as support the Vistex Program, and must be capable of functioning independently as well as within the framework of the financial planning and analysis function, and accounting and finance function. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and will be a key partner in driving financial performance across the organization. The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst will be to compile and prepare month-end consolidated reporting for Orora Packaging Solutions (OPS). This includes assisting with commissions reporting, partnering with the Director and Regional Controllers to drive deliverables to completion, and providing analysis related to ongoing and ad-hoc deliverables. The analyst will also be responsible for key month-end consolidation processes, including validation and review of the P&L and Balance Sheet, and will be a key partner in completing capital expenditure and investment requests. Additionally, the role involves budgeting and forecasting for Distribution finance, developing distribution level reports to assist in decision making, and providing ad-hoc analysis as needed using OPS reporting systems. The Financial Analyst will lead and facilitate projects with business partners and IT to develop, automate, and enhance consistent, accurate reporting. They will assist with month-end close and reporting activities, process monthly chargeback claims, and ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures and GAAP. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can identify improvement opportunities via automation of processes or more efficient methodologies, and who can demonstrate confidence and expertise in the deviation process, supporting internal customers such as sales reps, customer service reps, sourcing specialists, and regional controllers. Overall, this position is integral to the financial health and operational efficiency of Orora Packaging Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and prepare month-end consolidated reporting for Orora Packaging Solutions (OPS).
  • Assist with commissions reporting as needed.
  • Partner with Director and Regional Controllers to drive deliverables to completion.
  • Assist Director, Controller and VP of Finance with analysis related to ongoing and ad-hoc deliverables.
  • Validate and review P&L and Balance Sheet as part of month-end consolidation processes.
  • Complete capital expenditure and investment requests as a key partner.
  • Budget and forecast for Distribution finance.
  • Develop distribution level reports to assist in decision making.
  • Create various departmental budgets and rolling 12-month forecasts and provide monthly variance analysis.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed using OPS reporting systems.
  • Lead and facilitate projects with business partners and IT to develop, automate and enhance consistent, accurate reporting.
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting activities.
  • Process monthly chargeback claims, ensuring timely filing with applicable Suppliers.
  • Settle chargeback payments from Suppliers; reconcile and account for any variances while working with Suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Identify improvement opportunities via automation of processes or more efficient methodologies.
  • Support internal customers such as sales reps, customer service reps, sourcing specialists, and regional controllers in the deviation process.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures and GAAP.
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years Finance/FP&A experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance or related field required; M.B.A. is preferred.
  • Experience with financial reporting software, e.g. SAP, BPC and/or HFM.
  • Strong analytical capability including comprehension of large, complex data sets and master data.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
