About the position

The Financial Analyst (Portfolio & Pricing Valuation) position is a temporary contract role based in Pittsburgh, PA, focusing on quantitative analysis, pricing analysis, and portfolio valuation. The role requires a blend of analytical skills and experience in financial services, particularly in asset servicing and portfolio management. The analyst will work in a hybrid environment, providing support for securities pricing activities and client portfolio valuation, while collaborating with various internal and external data sources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide securities pricing activities via third-party vendors for client portfolio valuation.
  • Perform reviews of moderately complex validation breaks and resolve issues in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Compile, synthesize, and report on market data sources; support access, maintenance, and security activities.
  • Manage moderately complex databases and assist with data sources.
  • Conduct preliminary calculations for senior colleagues and help develop reports.
  • Interpret findings and prepare initial drafts of standard reports.
  • Work with internal and external datasets and client reference data to provide analysis in market development for securities data.
  • Track vendor file delivery and resolve client inquiries regarding process fail points.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years related work experience within Quantitative, Pricing, and/or Portfolio Valuation.
  • A degree is required.
  • Experience within Asset Servicing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Eagle Investment system is a nice to have.
  • Experience with ABOR and IBOR is a nice to have.
  • Middle Office operations background is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NAV (Net Asset Value) is required.
  • Proficiency in web-based applications (accounting platforms) is necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Eagle Investment system.
  • Knowledge of ABOR and IBOR.
  • Middle Office operations background.
