About the position

The role at Flex Financial involves reconciling, monitoring, and clearing open balances related to financed transactions through Stryker's leasing arm. The selected individual will partner with Internal Audit and Compliance to develop and maintain internal audits around Flex transactions, interpret reports, and actively participate in the month-end process. This position requires a focus on improving existing processes and providing high-level service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, monitor, and clear open balances related to financed transactions.
• Partner with Internal Audit and Compliance to develop and maintain internal audits around Flex transactions.
• Interpret reports and records for customers, sales force, and divisional contracts.
• Participate in Flex's month-end process, including providing records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Review, reconcile, and propose recommendations regarding unpaid or overpaid lease payments on terminated contracts.
• Identify contracts needing final action for termination and ensure corresponding journal entries are completed.
• Research variances within large sets of data related to general ledger reconciliations.
• Perform and submit monthly account reconciliations.
• Submit various journal entries related to the Flex Financial process.
• Provide high level of service to both internal and external customers.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes.
• Provide recommendations to leadership on key business decisions with thoughtful analysis on financial impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or its global equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business.
• 0 - 2 years general accounting, reconciliation, finance, or related experience.
