About the position

The Financial Analyst at Eckerd Connects plays a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager by managing billing for cost reimbursement workforce development programs and analyzing the financial performance of contracts. This position involves preparing financial reports, assisting in budget development, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, all while providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Manager in billing cost reimbursement workforce development programs.
  • Analyze financial performance and status of contracts related to budgets, billings, modifications, monitoring, and forecasting.
  • Prepare reports required by internal procedures and review financial results for accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist in the development of annual operating budgets for grants and contracts, and monthly forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit monthly billings to funding agencies as required by contracts.
  • Review and analyze various internal and external reports, providing input on variances.
  • Serve as the point of contact for program fiscal monitoring and coordinate the gathering of requested documents.
  • Reconcile and close out grants/contracts at termination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • An Associate Degree with two years of experience OR High School Diploma with 6 years of similar work experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Three to five years of related experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget monitoring and financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with cost reimbursement contracts.
  • Knowledge and experience of the government contracting process.
