About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Stryker involves reconciling, monitoring, and clearing open balances related to financed transactions through Stryker's leasing arm, Flex Financial. The role requires collaboration with Internal Audit and Compliance to develop and maintain internal audits around Flex transactions, as well as participation in the month-end process. The analyst will provide recommendations to leadership on key business decisions and continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, monitor, and clear open balances related to financed transactions.
• Partner with Internal Audit and Compliance to develop and maintain internal audits around Flex transactions.
• Interpret reports and records for customers, sales force, and divisional contracts.
• Participate in Flex's month-end process, providing records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Review, reconcile, and propose recommendations regarding unpaid or overpaid lease payments on terminated contracts.
• Identify contracts needing final action for termination and ensure corresponding journal entries are completed.
• Research variances within large sets of data related to general ledger reconciliations.
• Perform and submit monthly account reconciliations.
• Submit various journal entries related to the Flex Financial process.
• Provide high level of service to both internal and external customers.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes.
• Provide recommendations to leadership on key business decisions with thoughtful analysis on financial impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or its global equivalent) from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 0 - 2 years general accounting, reconciliation, finance, or related experience.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products and Salesforce.com.
• General accounting knowledge and financial statement knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Familiarity with SAP and Power BI.
