About the position

The Financial Analyst position at The ONE Group is a critical role focused on evaluating the financial health of the company within the restaurant industry. The analyst will provide insights to optimize profitability and support key decision-making processes by analyzing financial performance, forecasting future trends, and identifying areas for operational improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform income statement analysis and financial reporting.
• Use data from the company's general ledger to provide actuals to target variance.
• Synthesize several data sources into digestible information for performance metrics reporting.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth and profitability metrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and reduce costs.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and develop financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide variance analysis.
• Analyze restaurant operational costs and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
• Evaluate pricing strategies and supplier contracts to ensure competitive margins.
• Work with the operations team to track food waste and inventory levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including labor cost management and inventory control.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, or restaurant-specific software).
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
