About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Volunteers of America involves conducting quantitative analyses related to budgets, revenues, expenses, and financial projections. The role is crucial for guiding decision-making through financial modeling and reporting on current or expected financial performance. The analyst will work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and site leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on their findings. This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days onsite and two days of remote work each week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analyses of budgets, revenues, expenses, and financial projections.
• Establish and maintain private pay rates for healthcare locations.
• Schedule rate adjustments and gather comparative data from locations.
• Prepare analysis spreadsheets and recommend rates to operational management.
• Establish and maintain Managed Care Agreements and rates with Managed Care Organizations.
• Review agreements for language and payment rates, and contact organizations for rate adjustments.
• Maintain rates in the billing system and ensure accurate entry of Medicare and therapy rates.
• Generate and analyze financial, therapy, and payroll reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop annual operational budgets for assigned healthcare facilities.
• Conduct weekly payroll analysis and communicate variances with the operational team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis related to budgets and financial projections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), Point Click Care, and NetSuite.
• Ability to gather data, analyze inconsistencies, and produce reports.
