About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Penn State Health is a key member of the Finance Division, responsible for various financial functions including Revenue and Reimbursement, General Accounting, Third Party Contracting, and Financial Reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and operational teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile financial data from multiple sources.
  • Prepare financial and statistical reports for leadership.
  • Assist in the preparation of Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.
  • Support revenue and reimbursement processes.
  • Manage multiple financial projects and requests concurrently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, health administration, or a related field.
  • 2 years of functional experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships in a matrixed organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of financial systems and GAAP.
