About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at PeaceHealth is a remote role focused on providing financial support to internal customers, enhancing decision-making through credible financial analyses. The position involves collecting, analyzing, and preparing financial data, as well as interpreting clinical data to explain financial outcomes. The analyst will develop metrics, maintain business relationships, and prepare financial presentations to assist management in operational enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets results of clinical data to explain financial outcomes.
  • Defines clinical and operational impacts and translates them into financial components.
  • Calculates financial implications to quantify data.
  • Disseminates financial information to promote clarity and effective decision-making.
  • Develops and monitors defined metrics supporting regional and system-wide parameters.
  • Maintains business partner relationships with a detailed understanding of the business units/programs.
  • Provides ongoing financial and variation analysis to assist management in enhancing operations.
  • Performs data validation and process verification for accuracy of reported information.
  • Prepares special studies analyzing specific parts of operations as directed.
  • Completes projects to facilitate and enhance decision-making.
  • Prepares and presents financial information to management as requested.
  • Provides financial education as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or financial analyst role.
  • Experience in Healthcare preferred.
  • Familiarity with computerized accounting systems and PC spreadsheet experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a consulting capacity.
  • Ability to formulate and operationalize new concepts and ideas for improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Internet browsers, and databases.
