About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Carelon Health is responsible for conducting financial analyses and research in areas such as financial performance, expense management, and investment opportunities. This role plays a crucial part in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepares budgets, forecasts, trend analyses, and expense accruals.
• Provides information for various monthly journal entries.
• Compiles and prepares standard and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Generates ad-hoc reports quickly and accurately for the Finance team.

Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general accounting, financial planning, and management reporting or an approved Finance internship.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Experience with large data sets to manipulate and understand data for financial conclusions.
