About the position

As a Financial Analyst at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational transparency, ensuring accurate financial statements, and contributing to business planning and performance management. This position is integral to maintaining the quality of Building Products' (BP) financial operations and meeting the expectations of internal customers. You will leverage your digital skills and process improvement techniques to automate and streamline various tasks, enhancing efficiency across the organization. Reporting directly to the BP Head of Supply Chain Finance, you will collaborate with key stakeholders both locally and globally, making a significant impact on the financial health of the organization. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Functions, providing insightful analyses that support leadership in decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, as well as analyzing actual results against these plans and prior performance metrics. You will also be involved in monthly, yearly, and quarterly close activities, which encompass the preparation of financial reports that are critical for operational oversight. Additionally, you will support product costing development, implementation, and monthly variance monitoring, ensuring that financial data is accurate and actionable. Your ability to prepare and present insightful analyses will be essential in aiding manufacturing and logistics leadership in their decision-making. You will lead or support productivity and efficiency initiatives aimed at driving improved performance across the organization. Furthermore, you will assist with freight payment processing and monthly accrual entries, consolidating and building financial plans for the Operations organization, which includes tracking headcount, capital expenses, and supporting cycle count programs and physical inventories. Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will partner with cross-functional management teams to develop and deploy innovative modeling, data collection tools, and dashboards that streamline business processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Your contributions will not only support the financial operations but also align with Siemens' commitment to sustainable progress through technology.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 2+ years of finance or accounting experience.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States.
