About the position

The Financial Analyst Sr. at Cenlar is responsible for developing and reporting financial and operational metrics, supporting business performance measurement, and providing ad-hoc reports to aid decision-making for key business leaders. This role involves preparing forecasts, budgets, and strategic business plans while ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial projections.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and periodic strategic business plans for revenues, expenses, staffing levels, and operational metrics
  • Determines optimal business drivers for modeling accurate and timely projections and scenarios using rate-volume analysis and historical trend analysis
  • Develops and monitors the impact of process change initiatives on staff efficiency levels
  • Prepares concise variance analysis and commentary for presentations to senior management
  • Assists management with company and department directives
  • Ensures an adequately detailed and reliable forecasting and budgeting process for the company
  • Implements company-wide cost allocation tool and recommends areas for improvement
  • Spearheads projects to enhance the reporting and analytical infrastructure
  • Develops and presents financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for new product development
  • Acts as a financial liaison to the business units across the company
  • Provides support and guidance to the Financial Analysts I and II
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or mathematics required
  • 5+ years of financial reporting, cost allocation, planning and budget management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise financial reporting and planning applications preferred
  • Advanced spreadsheet, database management, SQL knowledge, experience with Power BI and analytical skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Detailed oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment
  • Advanced knowledge of cost benefit, cost allocation, budgeting, and forecasting
