About the position

The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the corporate technology alliance function by collaborating with business leaders and their teams. This position focuses on providing insightful financial analysis to aid decision-making, implementing driver-based forecasting, and leading cost efficiency initiatives. The analyst will interact with leadership to present financial information clearly and effectively, contributing to the organization's strategic and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct moderately complex financial analyses and reports for department management.
• Prepare and analyze major financial forecasts.
• Assist in the annual budget process, expense/service fee/staffing forecasts, or statistical reporting.
• Provide proactive insightful financial analysis to enable the BU/COE to reach its short- and long-term strategic and financial objectives.
• Interface with senior management to deliver financial information concisely to foster effective decision-making.
• Analyze business trends/scenarios and key drivers, and develop management reporting to analyze monthly financial and operating results and key metrics.
• Participate in value-added planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Analyze and track process improvement initiatives.
• Drive results for customer, product, and/or business unit profitability.
• Work closely with Management and Technology teams to track pipeline opportunities and prepare accurate forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related business discipline.
• 1-4 years of experience in a finance-related capacity.
• Strong Excel skills (Modeling, Formulas, Tables, among others).
• Financial systems knowledge in either Oracle Hyperion Planning / Essbase, SAP, OBIEE, Business Warehouse/ BPC.
• Basic knowledge in accounting GAAP principles (Accrual base accounting, cost amortization, expense recognition).
• Experience with month-end deliverables.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Cloud-based IT environments, software.
• Master's degree or Finance/Accounting-related certifications.
• Technology Finance experience including preparation and presentation of complex business cases.
• Experience with visualization tools i.e. Tableau & Spotfire.
• Experience with leadership communication - digesting, compiling, and presenting data.
• Knowledge of Technology Infrastructure.
