About the position
The Financial Analyst position at Fresh Thyme Market involves providing financial analysis and business partnering to support operational and functional areas. The role requires the establishment, interpretation, analysis, and presentation of complex accounting and financial information, while working under minimal supervision. The position follows a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work required Monday through Wednesday and flexible remote work on Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities
- Creates and evaluates strategic financial models of proposed business solutions (ROI's, BVA's, Proforma's)
- Provides financial support to the operational and functional business areas they support and serves as their business partner
- Provides proactive guidance on business performance and appropriate financial solutions
- Analyzes complex business and financial issues and summarizes and communicates them effectively to internal customers
- Creates and evaluates performance scorecards of different business activities
- Creates new processes and leads process improvements on large scale cross functional projects
Requirements
- Bachelor of Accounting/Finance degree
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial related business experience
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills
- Willingness to adapt to business needs with data driven solutions support
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and its application
- Ability to perform financial modeling
- Project management skills a plus
- Fluent in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and the ability to work effectively in multiple business information systems
- Cross functional collaboration with business partners
