About the position

The Financial Analyst at Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, plays a crucial role in managing all business finance systems, processes, controls, and reporting requirements related to the portfolio. This position is integral to ensuring that the program is accurately structured in the books of record, specifically within Costpoint, to account for and accrue costs, inventory, and liabilities in accordance with the applicable contract cost structure, including Program, CLINs, and any Sub CLINs. The Financial Analyst will provide guidance to control account managers and program managers regarding Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities, which encompass forecasts, performance measurement, variance analysis, and the development of corrective action plans. In addition to these responsibilities, the Financial Analyst will ensure that the program operates in alignment with Millennium's Best Practices and Policies, including adherence to the applicable EVMS level designation requirements. The role also involves implementing and supporting the ongoing development of tools such as Cobra, MS Project, and MES. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that program and company inventory and property are utilized, billed, and controlled appropriately. Furthermore, all customer reporting requirements must comply with contract stipulations and be submitted punctually, including Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLS), reviews, and audits. Maintaining cost and schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value and variance analyses, is essential, as is the ability to communicate cost and schedule trends effectively. Clear communication and collaboration across all disciplines are vital to support successful program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the program is properly structured in Costpoint to account for and accrue costs, inventory, and liabilities according to contract cost structure.
  • Provide guidance to control account managers and program managers on EVMS activities, including forecasts, performance measurement, variance analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Millennium Best Practices and Policies, including EVMS level designation requirements.
  • Implement and support the ongoing development of Cobra, MS Project, and MES.
  • Manage program and company inventory and property to ensure proper utilization, billing, and control.
  • Ensure all customer reporting requirements are compliant with contract requirements and submitted on time, including CDRLS, reviews, and audits.
  • Maintain cost and schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value and variance analyses, and communicate trends effectively.
  • Foster clear communication and collaboration across all disciplines to support program execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or 1+ years of related work experience with a Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills such as vlookup, pivot tables, index/match, and conditional formatting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
