About the position

The Financial Analyst position at the North Coast Shared Services Alliance (NCSSA) is a vital role designed to support the financial operations of member school districts. This position is contracted for 260 days and is intended to provide a comprehensive range of financial services tailored to the needs of various fiscal offices, Superintendent's offices, and business offices within the member districts. The Financial Analyst will be employed by the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio and will play a crucial role in ensuring that the financial operations of NCSSA run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Financial Analyst will assist in the execution of NCSSA's portfolio of financial services, which includes strategic planning for fiscal offices, conducting research, and gathering necessary documentation. The analyst will also provide support for five-year forecasts, assist with business operations, and perform audits and bank reconciliations. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for auditing payroll and non-payroll transactions as needed, and will be expected to take on any additional services requested by member districts. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The working conditions for this role are representative of a typical office environment. The employee will be required to engage in various physical activities such as walking, sitting, standing, and occasionally lifting objects up to 15 pounds. Responsibilities

• Provide various services to member districts in need, including fiscal office strategic planning and support.
• Research and gather required documents for financial analysis.
• Assist with five-year forecasts for member districts.
• Support business operations as needed.
• Audit and complete bank reconciliations for financial accuracy.
• Audit payroll and non-payroll transactions as required.
• Perform additional services as requested by member districts.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of the NCSSA.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Strong understanding of fiscal office operations and strategic planning.
• Proficient in financial forecasting and analysis techniques.
• Experience with auditing financial transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders in educational settings.
