About the position

The position involves managing daily pricing for mortgage products and supporting all home lending pricing strategies at U.S. Bank. The role requires conducting financial analyses related to pricing strategy, profitability, and competitive market research, while also developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and reporting tools. The data generated will assist management in decision-making and policy setting, with responsibilities including preparing strategic pricing recommendations and interest rate forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily pricing for mortgage products.
  • Support all home lending pricing strategies.
  • Conduct financial analyses related to pricing strategy and profitability.
  • Perform competitive market research and internal consulting for management.
  • Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Assist with statistical models for pricing analysis.
  • Prepare strategic pricing recommendations for management.
  • Research and resolve problems and errors in data from loan origination systems.
  • Prepare interest rate pricing and forecasting information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Capital Markets or Secondary Marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage business preferred.
  • Strong technical skills related to Excel, data mining, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and adhere to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well-developed mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
