About the position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. The Intermediate Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting financial analysis and reporting. This Financial analyst will monitor financial status, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision making. The Intermediate Financial Analyst will have a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and have a strong ability to influence financial understanding across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting for and managing demonstration inventory to ensure complete and accurate records are maintained
  • Assisting with the administration and analysis of incentive plans for sales and marketing
  • Participates in the monthly close process including but not limited to preparing and booking journal entries and preparing account reconciliations
  • Ensuring proper accruals are in place for royalties, incentives, rebates, compliance charges and other marketing programs
  • Assist with the periodic and annual budgeting and financial planning process
  • Respond to Corporate Reporting and Finance requests to support internal and external reporting requirements
  • Suggest and implement process and reporting improvements, including automation or use of visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data to provide insights
  • Develop reports that compare actual performance against budget and forecasts, including variance analysis
  • Ensure all reporting is timely and accurate
  • Enhance big data and analytics capabilities to transform forecasting, management reporting, and understanding of value drivers
  • Develop automated reports and dashboards to streamline information requirements
  • Enhance performance measurement by integrating financial and non-financial data to provide a holistic view of performance
  • Develop and maintain financial databases and reporting tools
  • Identify opportunities for process definition, improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies through training and regular updates
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives
  • Present financial reports to stakeholders, clarifying the implications of the data
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive financial understanding and alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience financial analysis
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft excel and financial software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
