About the position

Chart Industries is seeking a remote Financial Analyst to join our team, primarily supporting the VP of Finance in various financial reporting and analysis tasks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing new tools and processes that enhance decision-making and provide visibility into key financial metrics for the leadership team. This position requires coordination with individual unit finance leaders to ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and the accuracy and completeness of financial information. The Financial Analyst will also support individual business units with reporting and special projects as assigned by the VP of Finance. In this role, your day-to-day activities will include the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for the Aftermarket division. You will participate in the preparation and review of the monthly forecast, strategic plan, and annual budget. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing Group Reporting Packs on a monthly basis and analyzing key numbers for accuracy. Engaging in continuous improvement for processes related to your role will be essential, as will assisting with cash improvement and acceleration initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Support the VP Finance in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop new tools and processes to assist the leadership team in decision-making.
  • Coordinate with individual unit finance leaders on reporting requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and accuracy of information.
  • Support individual business units with reporting or special projects as assigned.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for the Aftermarket division.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of the monthly forecast, strategic plan, and annual budget.
  • Prepare Group Reporting Packs on a monthly basis and analyze key numbers for accuracy.
  • Assist with reporting to and from the Chart consolidation system (Onestream).
  • Engage in continuous improvement for processes included in and adjacent to the job role.
  • Assist with cash improvement/acceleration initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years experience with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with consolidated reporting including consolidation systems.
  • Commercially astute with the ability and desire to understand the business.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to make quick and clear decisions based on materiality and financial reporting risk.
  • Confident communicator who can influence and persuade others.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive in taking on challenges for professional development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Culturally aware with excellent people skills.
  • Comfortable analyzing and interpreting complex data and drawing logical conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritize work appropriately, recognizing the relative importance of tasks.
