About the position

The Financial Analyst role at Paramount is crucial for supporting the financial planning and analysis of the CBS Entertainment and Sports Digital team. This position involves budgeting, forecasting, and conducting various financial analyses to ensure the ongoing financial success of the digital business. The analyst will collaborate with multiple departments to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and drive growth in the digital media landscape.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for budgeting and forecasting of the CBS digital business.
• Create complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and expansion of the CBS Sports and Entertainment digital business.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations of the digital business.
• Manage the close, forecast, and budgeting for the digital P&Ls in collaboration with FP&A and Accounting.
• Handle multiple revenue streams on the digital P&L for Sports and Entertainment.
• Conduct strategic analyses around growth opportunities, expense optimization, and core business metrics to drive better decisions and results.
• Monitor revenue drivers, analyze key predictors, identify trends, and present actionable insights to the Finance and executive team.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment such as digital media FP&A, finance, consulting firm, investment bank, or corporate strategy.
• P&L management experience required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt based on audience and partner with cross-functional teams.
• Expert/advanced expertise in Excel, with experience in preparing complex financial models and manipulating large datasets.
• BS in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Ambitious with a strong work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
