About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Sutter Health is responsible for supporting the organization's finance strategic objectives through long-term financial planning, operational performance analysis, and financial feasibility studies. The role involves leading financial strategic projects, providing financial analysis and consulting for finance initiatives, and developing tools to track strategies related to the value equation. The analyst will also perform financial forecasting, develop analyses of ongoing financial performance, and ensure effective communication with system leadership and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Support system's finance strategic objectives through long-term financial planning and operational performance analysis.
• Lead and manage financial strategic projects, providing analysis, consulting, and reporting for finance initiatives.
• Develop new tools to track strategies and goals related to the value equation.
• Perform financial forecasting support and develop analyses of ongoing financial and operating performance.
• Ensure annual plan updates are developed and implement systems to monitor effectiveness and changes as appropriate.
• Keep system leadership informed of current financial activities affecting affiliates, providing insightful options and recommendations.
• Coordinate and communicate with other system departments regarding financial planning and analysis activities.
• Translate client requests into project approaches and monitor customer service by gathering feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 8 years of experience in financial or accounting analysis.
• 8 years of experience in financial analysis principles, methods, practices, and procedures.
• 8 years of experience in financial modeling.
• 8 years of experience in computerized accounting/financial systems.
• 8 years of experience in translating complex financial data into reports and presentations.
