About the position

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for delivering comprehensive reporting and analytics for financial shared services. This role supports senior management by providing data analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to facilitate informed decision-making regarding company operations. The analyst will also act as a power user of business intelligence reporting tools, focusing on the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting functionalities and analytic applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy new reports using MS Access databases, data mart, and Microstrategy for decision making.
  • Enhance and maintain existing reports for senior management using query building in MS Access and Microstrategy.
  • Conduct data analysis for trending and forecasting, calculating business metrics based on data pulls.
  • Assist and train business users in various data analysis techniques to streamline analysis processes.
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring financial information is recorded accurately.
  • Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
  • Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Access and Microstrategy for report development and data analysis.
  • Experience in financial forecasting and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and trends.
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed financial reports.
