About the position

HoverTech International is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. The role involves coordinating, documenting, and preparing various financial analysis projects on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to provide detailed analysis that impacts business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis for various financial and business-related projects.
• Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments for senior management.
• Prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas.
• Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accurate financial information.
• Conducts special financial and business-related studies cross departmentally and prepares analysis as needed.
• Assists with month end/year end close process.
• Assists with yearly budget.
• Analyzes and prepares Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) admin reports.
• Sorts/mines data from multiple sources to identify trends/variances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (similar)
• 2 years of Financial Analyst experience (would consider a recent grad with appropriate degree and internship)
• Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical skillset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - must be proficient in Excel
• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
• Strategic thinker
• Must be a problem solver and can work independently
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Knowledge of NetSuite (ERP) or similar
