About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst position at The Maven Group, LLC is a critical role designed to support our intelligence client in Bethesda, Maryland. This position is permanent and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a comprehensive financial management strategy that aligns with the client's objectives and ensures the necessary funding is secured to achieve their goals. This role involves close collaboration with senior clients to develop actionable plans that navigate the complexities of federal funding requirements, policies, and regulations. The analyst will be expected to make resource decisions that have the most significant impact on the client's success. In this fast-paced environment, the Senior Financial Analyst will need to demonstrate flexibility and innovation, showing initiative in dealing with ambiguous situations. The role requires a strong background in acquisition and financial management within the federal government, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential, as the analyst will utilize pivot tables and formulas to analyze financial data effectively. The ability to present findings and recommendations clearly, both verbally and in writing, is crucial for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess a BA or BS degree and have a solid understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Experience with tools such as COGNOS and BASIS, as well as the ability to conduct independent analyses with minimal supervision, will be advantageous. Excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary to thrive in this role, along with strong communication abilities to effectively convey results to government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create a financial management strategy to help our intelligence client succeed.
  • Work with senior clients to build an actionable plan for securing funding needed to achieve client goals.
  • Navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations governing funding to make impactful resource decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with performing Acquisition & Financial management for the federal government
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including using Pivot Tables and formulas in Excel
  • Ability to be flexible and innovative, show initiative, and deal with ambiguous, fast-paced situations
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • BA or BS degree

  • Experience in conducting independent analysis with minimal government supervision
  • Experience with presenting results to the government in verbal and written formats
